Pork Burgers

  • 1 pound of half-lean ground pork
  • 5 slices bacon, chopped
  • ½ cup Nadine Maple BBQ sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Crushed pepper to taste
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 burger buns
  • Mayonnaise, lettuce, slice of red onion.

 

Preparation

  1. Preheat barbecue to medium-high;
  2. In a frying pan, brown the bacon until crisp. Sponge and set aside;
  3. In a bowl, combine pork, chopped bacon, 1 tsp. BBQ sauce, salt and pepper. Shape 4 patties
  4. Lightly oil the barbecue grill and cook patties about 4 minutes per side, brushing them with Nadine Maple BBQ sauce;
  5. Halfway through cooking, add cheese;
  6. Grill bread for 1 to 2 minutes per side;
  7. Garnish with mayonnaise, lettuce and red onions.
